Arrhythmology is a relatively young specialty that has radically changed the content of academic and clinical cardiology over the past 20 years. Cardiac rhythm disorders are a pathology that occurs in children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and can be both congenital and acquired.
Causes of rhythm disorders include ischemic heart disease as well as numerous degenerative, inflammatory, and infiltrative diseases of the heart muscle.
